Cometic Gasket 200 presented by PNC Bank reset for Friday June 29

 TOLEDO, OH (2pm 4-12-18)—Officials from ARCA, Toledo Speedway and the ARCA CRA Super Series have postponed this weekend’s scheduled racing events at Toledo Speedway due to a weather front containing high winds, lightning and precipitation forecasts at or near 100% for both the scheduled race date of Saturday April 14 and the weather date of Sunday April 15.

The Cometic Gasket 200 presented by PNC Bank, featuring the ARCA CRA Super Series and the ARCA Outlaw Late Model Gold Cup Series, has been rescheduled for Friday June 29. Racing on that date will now feature the April 14 rescheduled program plus the Miller Lite 50 for ARCA Aramark Sportsman cars and the ARCA Victory Lane Quick Oil Change Figure-8 division. The June 29 ARCA Factory Stock race will be rescheduled.\

Other major outdoor sporting events scheduled for the weekend were postponed or cancelled due to the incoming weather front, including spring college football games at the University of Michigan, University of Wisconsin and Iowa State.

Series and track officials opted to postpone the racing program early to provide as much advance notice as possible to traveling race fans and teams versus delaying the decision until the weather was imminent.

 The next scheduled activities for the respective groups are a 125-lap event Saturday May 5 at Anderson Speedway in Indiana for the ARCA CRA Super Series, the Diamond Racing Products Joy Fair 100 Saturday May 26 at Flat Rock Speedway in Michigan for the ARCA Outlaw Late Model Gold Cup Series and Toledo Speedway’s Hemelgarn Racing/SuperFitness Rollie Beale Classic USAC Silver Crown Series race Friday May 4, which will also feature the ARCA Aramark Sportsman and ARCA Factory Stock divisions.Toledo Speedway tickets purchased for April 14 may be refunded or transferred to another event on the 2018 Toledo schedule by contacting the track. Those fans who already purchased advanced tickets for the April 14 race will now receive a free ticket to the USAC Silver Crown race May 4, courtesy of the Sunny Media “Good Weather Guarantee.” Those May 4 tickets will be at the Toledo Speedway ticket office Will Call unless fans contact the track to make other arrangements.
