KELLEY JR., OSENBAUGH HAVE SIGHTS ON TOLEDO CHAMPIONSHIPS

Night of Destruction, School Bus Race also this Friday night! The Toledo Speedway track championships will be determined this Friday night, August 25 as part of the popular “Night of Destruction”, featuring the School Bus Figure 8 race. Lakeshore Utility Trailer Sales and the just-opened PlayZone of Toledo will sponsor the night of great entertainment.

Howard Kelley Jr. sits atop the standings in the quest for the ARCA Aramark Late Model Sportsman class, holding a 95 point edge over Jim Froling. Kelley has 3 victories this season and will be looking for his second track title. His first one came back in 2003. Kelley has 27 wins in the division. Tom O’Leary IV and Mike Young are tied for third, with Ron Allen in fifth going into Friday night’s finale’, which will be highlighted by a 40 lap feature on the fast ½ mile paved oval.

Toledo resident Craig Osenbaugh is looking to secure his first-ever track championship in the ARCA Factory Stock division. Craig grabbed the win at the stripe two weeks ago in a thrilling finish and has a 20 point edge over both Paul Martell and Cory McCaughey, while James Good is 30 back and Jacob Thomas 45 markers behind the leader.

Tickets are now on sale by calling the track office at 419-727-1100 Monday through Thursday from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Cash and most major credit cards are accepted. The advance sale ends Thursday night, August 24 at 5 p.m.

Tickets will then go on sale race day when the ticket office and front gates open on race day, Friday, August 25 at 5:30 p.m.

In addition to the 2017 track championship events, Friday night’s card includes the School Bus Figure 8 race, the Boat Figure 8 race, Train Figure 8 and a Flag Pole race.

Parking is free on the track grounds. Bus rides for the kids will begin at 7 and show time is 7:30 p.m.
