TOLEDO SATURDAY, FLAT ROCK SUNDAY JULY 1-2; BANDOLERO RACING SUNDAY!

As the 4th of July nears, Flat Rock and Toledo Speedways have a slight twist in their respective schedules for the weekend prior to the holiday. Toledo Speedway will be in action Saturday night, July 1 with the Great Clips Firecracker 150 and Fireworks show,

Flat Rock Speedway will host racing on Sunday night, July 2 with the Monroe News 250 lap Enduro race, the MCR Dwarf Cars and the just-added appearance by the Bandolero cars.

The Saturday night special July 1 at Toledo will also be Kids Night! All kids to age 12 will be admitted FREE and receive a FREE hot dog, courtesy of the track.

On the track, the ARCA Super 6 Gold Cup Late Model Series will battle in a 100 lap feature race, while the ARCA Aramark Late Model Sportsman Cars will go 50 laps, making up the Great Clips Firecracker 150. The MCR Dwarf Cars will also be in action, and the evening concludes with a Fireworks display!

Saturday’s July 1 event is general admission in the grandstand. There is no advance sale for this event. Tickets will go on sale at the track at 4 p.m. and the front gates will also open at 4. Practice will begin at that time, with qualifying at 5:45 and racing at 7 p.m.

While Flat Rock will remain dark July 1, it will stage racing for a special Sunday night race card July 2. Round number 2 of the Monroe News 250 lap Enduro Series races will hit the track. The MCR Dwarf Cars will round out their double-header weekend at Flat Rock, and a special appearance by the Bandolero Cars will also be a part of the July 2 race card at “The Rock”. The speedway announced in March that a schedule of 8 races will be held for this type of purpose-built race car for kids ages 8-14 for the 2018 season. A Bandolero car will also be on display next Sunday in the spectator area.

The time schedule for Sunday, July 2 will have the pit area opening at 4, practice will begin at 5, qualifying will begin at 6:15 and racing starts at 7 p.m. ALL tickets will go on sale at 5 p.m. race day at the track when the ticket office and front gates swing open.
