SPRING 200 OPENS TOLEDO SEASON APRIL 22; SAVE $5 ON TICKETS!

Toledo, Ohio—April 6, 2017: It’s hard to tell from the recent weather patterns, but Toledo Speedway’s Spring 200 season opener is right around the corner! The Saturday afternoon, April 22 event will feature a pair of 100 lap contests for 2 different kinds of Late Models. The ARCA/CRA Super Series powered by Jeg’s stock-bodied Late Model tour will make up one half of the event, while the ARCA Super 6 Gold Cup outlaw-bodied Late Model Series will hit the track for their 100 lap feature on the fast ½ mile paved oval.

Defending race winners are Cody Coughlin (ARCA/CRA) and Steve Needles (ARCA Super 6 Gold Cup). Both have indicated they will be back for the 2017 event, looking for a repeat win.

Fans can save $5 on an advance ticket for the season opener. The tickets must be purchased prior to 5 p.m. Friday, April 21. Tickets are $20 in advance and $25 the day of the show. Children 6-12 are $3 and under 6 are admitted free of charge. In the event of weather issues, a rain date of Sunday, April 23 at 1 p.m. has been established.

A new twist to the ARCA Late Model Gold Cup Series for the upcoming season will see a new name and a purse boost of $2000 per race, thanks to six (6) businesses that have pledged their support for the outlaw-bodied Late Model class at both Flat Rock and Toledo Speedways.

Royal Truck and Trailer Sales, Moran Chevrolet, DTS Drive Train Specialists, Diamond Racing Products, Dani’s Transport and Tim Hortons/Guy Pritchard Investments of Windsor, Chatham and Kent, Ontario are the six businesses that have made the new concept, the ARCA Late Model “Super 6 Gold Cup” Series a reality.

An optional Friday, April 21 practice session is set for 3 p.m. to 7 p.m. The grandstands will be open to race fans free of charge Friday. Saturday, April 22, the race day schedule has one-hour practice sessions for each class beginning at 10 a.m. Time trials are set for 1 p.m. followed by an on-track driver autograph session. Race time for the Spring 200 is 3 p.m.

To order tickets, fans may download the ticket order form from the track’s webpage at www.toledospeedway.com or call the track at 419-727-1100. Tickets may also be obtained at the track office on weekdays. Most major credits cards are accepted.
