CENTRAL TRANSPORT SIGNS ON AS GLASS CITY 200 TITLE SPONSOR
Toledo, Ohio—March 16, 2017: Toledo Speedway’s signature event, the Glass City 200, will now carry the Central Transport name as the title sponsor for the 29th running of the prestigious event, set for Saturday, September 16.
The Warren, MI-based group will now enter its third year of supporting the 200 at the Glass City oval and the first as the title sponsor. The event will undergo a format change for the 2017 edition of the race. The new plan will see a pair of 100 lap features on the agenda—100 laps for the outlaw-bodied Late Models and a 100 lap event for the ARCA/CRA Super Series powered by JEGS stock-bodied Late Models. Each race will pay $5000 to win and $800 to start.
Track management has also signed on presenting sponsors the Holiday Inn Express, the Hampton Inn and the recently-opened Courtyard by Marriott hotels. All 3 locations are on the same piece of property and just ¼ mile from the speedway.
Associate sponsors for the 200 that have also agreed to return to support the race include DTS Drive Train Specialists, R & M Recycling, Bazell Race Fuels, Sunoco Race Fuels and First Care Ambulance.
Additional details for the 29th running of the Central Transport Glass City 200 presented by Holiday Inn Express, Hampton Inn and Courtyard by Marriott will be released as the events nears.
