Menards selling discount tickets for Toledo ARCA race
TOLEDO, Ohio (May 2, 2016) – Advance sale discount tickets for the 75th running of the May 22 Menards 200 presented by Federated Car Care at Toledo Speedway are now on sale at six Menards stores in northwest Ohio. The tickets are on sale for the special price of $15 between now and Saturday May 21 if purchased at Menards.
The Menards stores selling the discounted tickets include Defiance, Findlay, Holland, Oregon, Sandusky and Toledo, Ohio.
The event at Toledo will be the fifth race of the 2016 ARCA Racing Series presented by Menards season, following on the heels of the ARCA race at Talladega Superspeedway.
Among the drivers expected to race is two-time Daytona ARCA 200 winner John Wes Townley; Nashville winner Josh Williams; Mitchell, Indiana’s Chase Briscoe; Mansfield, Pennsylvania’s Matt Kurzejewski and Wentzville, Missouri’s Kyle Weatherman, ARCA’s defending Short Track Challenge champion. The Menards 200 is the third among the 11 races of the season that make up the Short Track Challenge.
Fans will have the opportunity to meet Matt Kurzejewski, the driver of the No. 52 Ken Schrader Racing Ansell-Menards Toyota at area Menards stores, including the Toledo North Menards, located at 1415 East Alexis Road, across from Toledo Speedway, from 6:00 to 7:30 p.m. Friday, May 20. In addition, the Menards Racing Show Car Tour will be on location at the Kurzejewski appearance, as well as at the Speedway on Saturday and Sunday.
The Menards 200 racing weekend activities kick off at Toledo Speedway on Saturday, with Destination Toledo Pole Day, featuring Menards Pole Qualifying presented by Ansell at 3:30 p.m. Feature races for the ARCA Late Model Sportsman division and ARCA Truck Series will round out the day.
Spectator gates open at 10:00 a.m. Sunday, May 22, with an on-track autograph session from 12 noon to 1:00 p.m. The green flag for the Menards 200 is scheduled for 2:00 p.m. The race will also be broadcast live to a national television audience on the American Sports Network. ARCAracing.com will also feature live timing and scoring and live chat.
