Toledo, Ohio—March 11, 2016: Advance ticket buyers for Toledo Speedway’s Season Opener on Saturday, April 16 will be offered a “Good Weather Guarantee”. If the temperature is not at least 55 degrees with no rain at the scheduled 3 p.m. start time, all advance ticket purchasers will be given a free ticket to the next event on Toledo’s schedule, the USAC Silver Crown race Saturday, April 30.
“We know Toledo weather at that time of the year can be really nice, or not as pleasant as later in the season,” said Toledo Speedway GM Scott Schultz. “This Good Weather Guarantee rewards our advance ticket buyers with a make-good on April 30 if it’s not as warm and rain-free as we hope and plan for on April 16.”
To qualify for this offer, an advance ticket must be purchased prior to 5 p.m. Friday, April 15 for Saturday’s 7-Up 200. Tickets are now on sale, with a $5 discount being offered for the advance ticket sale. Tickets are $20 in advance and $25 the day of the show. Children 6-12 are $3 and under 6 are admitted free of charge.
The 7-Up 200, traditionally among the first Late Model events of the year in the Midwest, will see 2 types of Late Models in action at Toledo. The ARCA/CRA Super Series powered by Jeg’s stock-bodied Late Models will hit the track for 100 laps, with the other 100 lap race set for the ARCA Royal Truck and Trailer outlaw-bodied Late Models.
An optional Friday, April 15 practice session is set for 3 p.m. to 7 p.m. Saturday, April 16, the race day schedule has one-hour practice sessions for each class beginning at 10 a.m. Time trials are set for 1 p.m. followed by an on-track driver autograph session. Race time is 3 p.m. A rain date has been established, if needed, on Sunday, April 17 at 1 p.m.
Toledo’s next event, and the “Good Weather Guarantee” make-good event, is Saturday, April 30. Hemelgarn Racing and Super Fitness present the Rollie Beale Classic, featuring a 100 lap feature for the USAC Silver Crown Cars. A non-wing Sprint Car program will serve as the support division for this event. Race time on April 30 is 6 p.m.
To order tickets for both events, fans may download the ticket order form from the track’s webpage at www.toledospeedway.com or call the track at 419-727-1100. Tickets may also be obtained at the track office on weekdays. Most major credits cards are accepted.
