THROW-BACK THURSDAYS ARE HERE AGAIN!

Mt. Clemens, MI driver Ray Nece is pictured in his familiar # 3 Late Model circa 1960’s as he waits for practice at Toledo Speedway. Ray was a very popular driver in the 1960’s and 1970’s and competed throughout the Midwest, both on dirt and asphalt. Nece also ran several ARCA Racing Series events in his career and was a mentor to former ARCA and Toledo Speedway champion Tracy Leslie. Ray’s son, John, was a top competitor in the Street Stock-type class at Mt. Clemens and at several other tracks in the area.
