BUSES, BOATS, SPORTSMAN CHAMPIONSHIP ALL AT TOLEDO FRIDAY!

(Toledo, OH—August 26, 2014):  Looking for fun this holiday weekend?  It all starts at Toledo Speedway Friday night, August 29 with the Burge Wrecking “Night of Destruction,” featuring the School Bus Figure 8 races!  A Figure 8 Boat Race (yes, boats towed by race cars on the Figure 8 track), the track’s ARCA Aramark Sportsman stock car championship race and much more await you and your family Friday evening!

Perhaps the best entertainment line-up and one of the best values in the Glass City hits the track for a 7:30 p.m. start.  Tickets are now on sale by calling 419-727-1100 or stop in at the track ticket office from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Thursday.  The advance sale ends at 5 p.m. Thursday.  Cash and most major credit cards are accepted.

The box office and front gates will open Friday, race day at 5:30 p.m. 

Tickets are all general admission, with first-come, first-serve seating.  Adult tickets are $15 each, children 6-12 are $3, and under 6 are free.  A rain date of Friday, September 5 has been set if needed.

The evening will be highlighted by the School Bus Figure 8 race!  The Boat Figure 8, Figure 8 Train race (2 cars chained together-front car with engine, back car with brakes), the Flag Pole race and a Road Rage Roller Derby race with the Grogan’s Towne mini-vans are also part of Friday’s show card.

Ron Allen leads Mike Young, Kenny McKay Jr., Howard Kelley Jr. and Tom O’Leary IV in the battle for the 2014 ARCA Aramark Sportsman division championship.  The class will practice, qualify, run heat races and a 40 lap main event on the lightning-fast ½ mile paved oval.

Mark it down!  Friday night, August 29, kick off the Labor Day holiday weekend at Toledo Speedway with your family and friends at the Burge Wrecking Night of Destruction!  Parking is free on the track grounds.  Toledo Speedway is located on Benore Road at the I-75/Alexis Road exit (behind Meijer).
