Glass City 200 Event To Include Fundraiser For Ryan Gibson
TOLEDO, OH (9-17-2008)-- Track officials, race teams and fans will have the opportunity to contribute to the Ryan Gibson Education Fund in memory of Terry Gibson this Saturday night at the Glass City 200 at Toledo Speedway.
Prior to the driver introductions for the 150 lap Late Model invitational feature Saturday evening, the track will accept donations for Ryan Gibson, the 8 year-old son of Terry Gibson, who lost his life in a heat race at the track in July during a Super Modified event. All proceeds will go to an education fund for young Ryan.
The 20th Anniversary of the Miller Lite Glass City 200 will see time trials at 3 and racing at 5 p.m. this Saturday night at the ½ mile paved oval. For further information, contact the track at 419-727-1100 or go to the track website at www.toledospeedway.com.
