Brad Keselowski To Sign Autographs At Toledo August 15

TOLEDO, OH (8-6-2008)-- 2008 NASCAR Nationwide Series Championship contender Brad Keselowski returns home to Toledo Speedway Friday evening, August 15 for an autograph session for fans in attendance at the Qualite Sports Lighting/Allen Chevrolet-Cadillac sponsored night of racing. The track will also stage an autograph session with the weekly racers, and the Kid’s Nickel/Penny grab will also be part of the festivities.

Keselowski, driving Dale Earnhardt Jr.’s Nationwide Series #88 National Guard Chevy, is currently 3rd in the Series points and has been as high as second this year. The son of former ARCA RE/MAX Series champ Bob Keselowski (1989) and the younger brother of Brian Keselowski (2003 Toledo Late Model champ), Brad has 2 feature wins to his credit at Toledo in the Late Model ranks. Brad will make his way to Toledo August 15 to sign autographs after action concludes at nearby Michigan International Speedway, the site of the Nationwide Series race Saturday afternoon. There is no charge for autographs.

“We are very pleased to announce Brad Keselowski’s appearance at Toledo Speedway August 15,” noted ARCA President and track co-promoter Ron Drager. “Brad has moved up quickly through the racing ranks and has had a great season to date. He has not forgotten his roots and to have him greet fans at Toledo next Friday is a big plus for the speedway.”

Despite Brad’s limited experience at Toledo, the Rochester Hills, MI native zipped to 2 feature wins in just 4 starts at Toledo just several years ago. Earnhardt Jr. took notice of young Keselowski when Brad subbed in for a driver in the NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series just 2 years ago. After paying his dues by running for an under-funded Nationwide team, his efforts and talent were obviously well-noticed by several top NASCAR teams. Brad ran several races for Earnhardt Jr.’s JR Motorsports team in 2007 and was signed for the 2008 year Their on-track efforts have produced great results with 1 win and a 3rd place spot in the current point standings for the Nationwide Series.

The track’s ARCA National City Bank Sportsman, Speedway Bar and Grille Figure 8’s and the A-1 Auto Parts Factory Stocks will stage their own autograph session on the track from 6:45-7:20 p.m.

With assistance from Qualite Sports Lighting and Allen Chevrolet-Cadillac, the popular Kid’s Nickel/Penny Grab will also be held on the race track. Kids up to age 14 are eligible to participate in the activity, which will take place immediately after the on-track autograph session.

Keselowski’s arrival time is to be determined by the schedule at MIS on Friday. The front gates open at 5, time trials are set for 6:15, the on-track autograph session goes at 6:45, the nickel/penny grab is set for 7:20 and racing begins at 7:30 p.m. ALL tickets are on a first-come, first-served basis and will go on sale at 5 p.m. race day. The track’s phone number is 419-727-1100.
