Rain Washes Out Toledo's Fastest Short Track Show
TOLEDO, OH (6-13-2008)-- For the first time in the history of the event, Toledo Speedway’s All American Coach/Hemelgarn Racing/Super Fitness “Fastest Short Track Show in the World” was washed out by rain. The ISMA Super Modifieds and the Auto Value Super Sprints both hit the track for practice but the rain set in and put the damper on the event.
Track officials will make an official announcement Monday morning on whether a date can be found to reschedule the popular race.
The announcement will be posted on the track’s website at www.toledospeedway.com
Toledo’s weekly Friday night race card resumes this Friday, June 20 with the Wendy’s Autograph Night. Fans can walk on the track and meet their favorite drivers. The ARCA Sportsman, Factory Stocks, Figure 8’s and 4 Cylinders will be in action. The autograph session goes at 7, with racing at 7:30 p.m. The track will also host Racing Fan Club Night June 20.
