(TOLEDO, Ohio - September 17, 2013) - Butler, IN driver and most recent Toledo Late Model winner Brent Jack has filed his entry for the 25^th Anniversary of the Great Lakes Helicopter Glass City 200 presented by Francis Engineering, Woodville Auto Finance, Hampton Inn and Holiday Inn Express.  The 200 lap outlaw-bodied Late Model invitational is set for Saturday, September 28 at Toledo Speedway.

Jack was victorious in the Miller Lite 100 at Toledo on August 16 for the ARCA Gold Cup Series/Main Event Late Model Series race at the fast ½ mile paved oval.  Joining Jack as the most recent entrants for the season-ending classic are second-generation drivers Jack Varney Jr. and Jimmy Thiel.  Thiel will be at the wheel of the Bob Ward car #6, led by Ward’s son, Jimmy.  Bob Ward, a car owner for over 40 years, passed away recently and the effort to be at the 200 is in tribute to Bob.

In addition to the 200 lap Late Model invitational, the Woodville Auto Finance 40 lap Sportsman invitational and a 30 lap X car invitational (on the ¼ mile) are also part of the final race of the season at the Glass City oval.  All 3 entries forms/rules may be downloaded from the track’s webpage.  They are located under forms.

The title sponsor is Great Lakes Helicopter, while presenting sponsors include Francis Engineering, Woodville Auto Finance, Hampton Inn and Holiday Inn Express.  DTS Drive Train Specialists, R & M Recycling, First Care Ambulance, Burge Wrecking, Penske Shocks, All Star Performance, Lane Automotive, Bazell Race Fuels and Sunoco Race Fuels have also pledged their support for the event.

Lap money is available at $10 per lap, and goes to the leader of each lap.  The list is available on the track’s webpage.  To sponsor laps, please call 419-727-1100.

Friday, September 27 the pit area opens at 2 p.m. for rig parking, tech and tire sales for all 3 classes.  An optional practice session will take place from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m.  Anyone that purchases a pit pass on Friday will receive a FREE dinner from 7 p.m. to 8:30 p.m., courtesy of Francis Engineering of Leroy, OH.  The band Distant Cousinz will play after dinner at the Bar/Grille, located adjacent to the speedway.

The Saturday, September 28 race day schedule has the pits open at 9:30 a.m., driver’s meeting at 11:30, practice at 12:15, time trials at 3 and racing at 5 p.m.  A rain date of Sunday, September 29 has been established.
