NIGHT OF DESTRUCTION AT TOLEDO, CHAMPIONSHIPS AT BOTH TRACKS THIS WEEKEND!
(TOLEDO, Ohio - August 27, 2013) - It’s Labor Day weekend and it’s time for Toledo’s Wendy’s Night of Destruction and the ARCA ACME Dismantling Sportsman division championship race Friday night and Flat Rock’s Heritage Newspapers Season Championships with a fireworks show to cap off Saturday night at “The Rock.”
The speedway will stage its final Friday night race of the year August 30 as the Wendy’s “Night of Destruction” returns to the Glass City! The 40 lap ARCA ACME Dismantling Sportsman championship race marks the first time for the class to be a part of this event, giving fans of this night an opportunity to see these cars on the ½ mile, high-banked asphalt oval for the first time!
The evening will also include not only the popular School Bus Figure 8 races, but there’s more action with a Boat Figure 8 Race, Train Figure 8 race and the ARCA 4 Cylinders cars.
And, there’s a little surprise in store for fans when they arrive at the track—there are 3 large boats sitting in the inside of the Figure 8 track---that’s all we’re going to tell you!
Tickets are now on sale for August 30 and may be obtained by calling the track at 419-727-1100. All seating will be general admission, first-come, first-serve, for this event. Race time is 7:30 p.m. The gates will open at 5:30 p.m. and parking is free on the track grounds. A rain date of Sunday, September 1 has been set if needed.
Saturday, August 31 the Heritage Newspapers will sponsor Season Championship Night at Flat Rock. The ARCA Moran Chevrolet Late Models, Parts Galore Figure 8’s and DTS Drive Train Specialists Street Stocks will each crown their 2013 track champions. A Fireworks display will complete the night of entertainment at the speedway!
Saturday’s schedule has practice at 4, time trials at 5:30 and racing begins at 7 p.m.
