HAMPTON INN, HOLIDAY INN EXPRESS BACKING TOLEDO’S GLASS CITY 200; BOOK YOUR ROOMS SOON!

(TOLEDO, Ohio - August 6, 2013) - It’s not too soon to start thinking about booking rooms for the Silver Anniversary of Toledo Speedway’s Great Lakes Helicopter Glass City 200, set for Saturday, September 28.  The 200 lap classic for outlaw-bodied Late Models will celebrate the milestone with a variety of events for fans and racers alike.

The 200 is presented by the Hampton Inn, Holiday Inn Express and Francis Engineering.  Fans and teams can book their rooms at the 2 venues, located only ¼ mile from the track on Hagman Road.  The Holiday Inn Express (419-574-0292) is less than 1 year old, while the Hampton (419-727-8725) has undergone a recent renovation to their customer hospitality area.  Ask for the Toledo Speedway rate when making reservations.

“We are very pleased to announce the first group of sponsors for the Glass City 200,” noted Ron Drager, promoter of the speedway.  “Great Lakes Helicopter has been with us for several years and returns as our primary sponsor,” said Drager.  “With Francis Engineering back on board and the addition of the Hampton Inn and Holiday Inn Express, we are on our way to making the 25th Anniversary of the Glass City 200 a very special event.”

As of August 1, additional sponsors also returning for this prestigious event include DTS Drive Train Specialists, First Care Ambulance, Bazell Race Fuels, Sunoco Race Fuels and R & M Recycling.

In addition to the 200 lap race, a Sportsman invitational and an X Car invitational are also part of the race card for the September 28 show, which will have a start time of 5 p.m.

An optional practice is also scheduled for Friday, September 27.  Additional details, including the entry blanks and payoff, will follow soon.
