(FLAT ROCK, MI - June 19, 2013) - Plymouth, IN natives JR and Tyler Roahrig will make their first-ever visit to Flat Rock Speedway this Saturday for the Diamond Racing Products Joy Fair Memorial 100 for the ARCA Glass City Gold Cup Late Model Series.  The father-son duo have racked up some big wins across the area in the last several seasons and both will be eyeing a shot at a victory at “The Rock” for this prestigious event.

In addition to the Roahrig duo, Flat Rock Moran Chevrolet Late Model regulars Stan Yee Jr., Jimmy Alvis, Brad Turner, Jeff Plumb and Scott Pemberton have also filed entries for the June 22 100 lap classic, bringing the total to 27 cars as of Noon Wednesday.  Several more entries are still expected as race day nears.

The Flat Rock race will be taped by the Buckeye Cable Sports Network (BCSN) and will be televised on the Toledo-area local cable access channel Sunday, June 23 as part of the “Sunday Night at the Races” show at 9 p.m.  The telecast will also be available on-demand and can be ordered by going to www.bcsn.tv.  And Speed51.com, the leader in asphalt short track racing coverage, will provide live updates from Flat Rock Saturday.

The ARCA Parts Galore Figure 8’s and DTS Drive Train Specialists Street Stocks will also be in action Saturday night.  The pit area opens at 1:30, practice begins at 3, the front gates open at 3, time trials are at 5 and racing begins at 7 p.m.
