ARCA Trucks kick off 2013 season at Flat Rock Saturday; Bobby Dale Earnhardt among entrants

(FLAT ROCK, Mich. - May 10, 2013) - The ARCA Truck Series is kicking off its 15th season of competition this Saturday, May 11 at Flat Rock Speedway in Flat Rock, Michigan with a 100-lap feature event.

And a name familiar to stock car fans across the world will be a part of the festivities. Bobby Dale Earnhardt, grandson of Dale Earnhardt, Sr., will be making his ARCA Truck Series debut.

"We have tested and raced all over the tri-state region (Ohio, West Virginia, Pennsylvania) getting ready for the 2013 ARCA Truck Series season," Earnhardt said. "I feel very well prepared and look forward getting in the seat this coming weekend."

Earnhardt has already been put through the paces on both dirt and asphalt to prepare himself for his debut in the Truck Series for Wilson Motorsports.

"Frank Wilson has certainly spent a lot of time with me," said the driver of the #33 All N One Pawn/Drive-In Barber Shop Chevrolet.earnhardtkerryvlpocono.jpg "I feel very well prepared and look forward getting in the seat this coming weekend. I'd also like to thank Freddie Carpenter of Kryptonite Race Cars. He allowed me to test his own personal equipment last year and was always there with advice and also to answer any questions."

Earnhardt is also the son of ARCA Racing Series driver Kerry Earnhardt, who made 11 ARCA Racing Series starts during his career, earning four wins at Pocono (right), Michigan, Charlotte, and Atlanta.

The second driver making his debut for Wilson Motorsports has a name that is well known among dirt racing fans across America.

Devin Moran, son of "Million Dollar Man" and dirt late model veteran Donnie Moran will also hit the track this weekend at Flat Rock. Devin has tested twice at Midvale Speedway and Ona Speedway to get reacquainted with asphalt racing. The second-generation driver spent four years racing quarter midgets at Columbus Speedway and the Ohio State Fairgrounds.

"The first time I went sailing off into the corner at Midvale, it was a comfortable feeling," said the Tri-Valley High School graduate. "I've been racing on dirt the last few years, but thankfully it didn't take me long to adjust." Devin will pilot the #13 Devin Moran Racing/Team Wilson Driver Development Chevrolet.

"Both of these guys have shown huge improvement over the two days of testing," said team owner Frank Wilson, Jr. "They've shown a great ability to listen and adjust as well as show great respect for the equipment. I'm proud of what they've gained so far and look forward to seeing how they both measure up this weekend."
