FIRST TWO ENTRIES FOR HOLLYWOOD CASINO 100 GLASS CITY GOLD CUP SERIES OPENER MAY 10 AT TOLEDO

(TOLEDO, Ohio - April 25, 2013) - Andrew Morrisey lives in Wisconsin, but that won’t stop the Badger state native from making the trip to Toledo Speedway for the Friday, May 10 Hollywood Casino 100 for the ARCA Glass City Gold Cup Series Late Models, the first event of 2013 for the class at the Glass City oval.  Second-generation driver Jason LaDuke has also filed his entry for the contest, which features the top outlaw Late Model drivers in the Midwest.

Morrisey, who resides in Madison, WI, was at Toledo last season for a Gold Cup race and the ARCA/CRA stock-bodied Late Model event.  In fact, the team made the trip to Toledo back on April 20 for the season-opening ARCA/CRA-ARCA Midwest event.

LaDuke is the son of Don LaDuke, a former Toledo and ARCA driver for many years. Jason, who resides in Clinton Twp, MI will make his Toledo Late Model debut for the May 10 Hollywood Casino 100. 

The Series will once again consist of six (6) races in 2013.  There will be a single event at the Spartan (Lansing, MI) Speedway, 2 events are scheduled at Flat Rock, MI Speedway and 3 races at Toledo, OH Speedway.  A total of 3 provisional starting positions in the final points of the Series are set aside for the season-ending Great Lakes Helicopter Glass City 200 presented by the Hampton Inn, Holiday Inn Express and Francis Engineering at Toledo, which is set for Saturday, September 28 this year.  The race will celebrate its Silver Anniversary in 2013.

The remaining Gold Cup events are the Diamond Racing Products Joy Fair Memorial 100 at Flat Rock June 22; the Charlie Ryan Memorial at Spartan, set for Sunday, June 30, followed by the Parts Galore 100 lap race at Toledo Friday, July 12.  The Series returns to Flat Rock Saturday, July 27 for the Moran Chevrolet/Stan Yee Memorial 150 and concludes at Toledo Friday, August 16 for the Miller Lite 100, a combination point race with the Main Event Racing Series. 

Friday, May 10 the pit area opens at 1:30 p.m., practice begins at 4, time trials are set for 6:15 and racing begins at 7:30 p.m.  The ARCA ACME Dismantling Sportsman cars will also be in action, giving race fans a chance to see 2 divisions in competition on the ½ mile paved oval.  The R & M Recycling X Cars will battle on the short track at Toledo also on May 10.
