TOLEDO’S 7-UP 150 ENTRY LIST A MYSTERY—TO BE UNVEILED FRIDAY!

(TOLEDO, Ohio - April 2, 201) - While it’s just a day after April Fools Day, a sneak peek at the current entry list for the Saturday, April 20 “Border Wars” 7-Up 150 at Toledo Speedway is no joke.  The event will see the stock-bodied ARCA/CRA Super Series Late Models and the ARCA Midwest Tour paired together in competition for the first time in the history of the 2 groups.

The entry list to date will be released Friday, April 5, as teams prepare for the 150 lap contest at the Glass City ½ mile paved oval.  The “Border Wars” theme will see the ARCA/CRA regulars mainly from Michigan, Ohio and Indiana take on the ARCA Midwest tour stars based out of Illinois, Minnesota and Wisconsin in the 7-Up 150, which will serve as Toledo’s opener for the new season.

An optional open practice session is set for Friday, April 19 from 3 p.m. to 7 p.m.  All Friday pit pass purchasers will be treated to a bbq chicken dinner following the practice at the Speedway Bar and Grille, located adjacent to the track.  The Drive Time Sports Talk Radio show, 106.5 FM, will be live from the Bar and Grille from 5 p.m. to 6 p.m. that day with host Mike Miller.

Race day, Saturday, April 20 will see practice begin at 11 a.m., time trials are set for 3 and racing starts at 5 p.m.  The schedule includes a last-chance race (if necessary), an on-track autograph session and the 7-Up 150 lap feature, which will be all green flag.  A 10 minute break is planned at lap 76 of the contest.  A rain date of Sunday, April 21 at 1 p.m. has been established if necessary.

Race fans can save $5 per ticket if purchased prior to race day by calling the Toledo track office at 419-727-1100 or downloading the 2013 ticket order form at www.toledospeedway.com.  It is located under forms.  The order can be electronically mailed to the track.
