Toledo Speedway

(TOLEDO, Ohio - March 27, 2013) - The Buckeye Cable Sports Network (BCSN) will now air a total of 12 Flat Rock and Toledo Speedway events for the 2013 racing season.  The local cable access channel of the Buckeye Cable System has added 2 dates to the previously-announced 10 race event schedule with the 2 ARCA-sanctioned tracks. 

All 12 of those events will be aired as part of the popular “Sunday Night at the Races” programming on the Buckeye Cable Sports Network (BCSN).  The telecasts are slated for the 9 p.m. time slot beginning April 21.  Each event airs the Sunday night following its actual race date.

“The addition of these 2 races on the BCSN telecast schedule will give more exposure to our weekly race teams,” noted Casey Wagner, Assistant General Manager of the 2 facilities. 

The added dates are Saturday, May 4 at Flat Rock and Friday, May 31 at Toledo. Flat Rock’s May 4 show features the ARCA Moran Chevrolet Late Models, Parts Galore Figure 8’s and the DTS Drive Train Specialists Street Stocks in action.  The May 31 action from Toledo will see the ARCA ACME Dismantling Sportsman class on the ½ mile, plus action on the short track with the Parts Galore Figure 8’s, R & M Recycling X Cars and the ARCA 4 Cylinder cars.

Other BCSN telecasts from the 2 tracks include Flat Rock Speedway’s two ARCA Late Model Gold Cup races, the June 22 Joy Fair Memorial 100 and the July 27 Moran Chevrolet Stan Yee Memorial 150. 

In addition to the May 31 race, the Toledo Speedway events that are slated to be aired for the BCSN “Sunday Night at the Races” telecasts are the season’s first race, set for Saturday, April 20—the 7-Up 150 for the ARCA/CRA and ARCA Midwest Late Models.  BCSN will also be at the track Friday, May 10 for the ARCA Late Model Gold Cup 100 event; Friday, June 14 All American Coach/Hemelgarn Racing/Super Fitness “Fastest Short Track Show in the World,” featuring the MSA Super Modifieds and the AVBBSS Winged Sprints; the Friday, July 5 weekly show and the Friday, July 12 Parts Galore 100 for the Gold Cup Late Model Series. 

BCSN will return to Toledo for a special Thursday, August 8 event, new to the schedule.  The track will host “All 8 Night,” featuring races on the Figure track!  Friday, August 16 the ARCA Late Model Gold Cup Miller Lite 100, a companion race with the Main Event Late Model Series, will also be covered by the local cable access group. 

The track’s signature event, the Saturday, September 28 Great Lakes Helicopter Glass City 200 Super Late Model invitational will also be taped and shown at a later date. The race is celebrating its Silver Anniversary in 2013.
