INFORMATION:   If you have not heard, Kalamazoo Speedway was met by a newly-elected township board this winter and the immediate call regarding noise.  This can happen to ANY TRACK.  Kazoo is being pro-active; all 5 Kalamazoo divisions will now exit their exhaust out the lower third of the car and not out the doors or fenders.  We will have this discussion regarding this issue during our driver’s meetings…..

PAD RENTALS:  The forms for pad rentals are now up on the website under forms.  If you would like a pad for the 2013 season, download the form and mail it in with payment.  Deadline is April 12; the price goes up after this date.  THESE are not being mailed.

X CAR DIVISION CAR NUMBERS:  We are expecting several types of cars to compete in the X Car class.  If you now run with us, just keep your same car number for the X Car class at this point.  We’ll sort things out later on, if needed.

TIRES, FUEL:  Pricing for both tires and fuel will be announced as soon as we get information from Hoosier and Sunoco.  Watch the website for details.

CONSTRUCTION WARNINGS—ALREADY!  The Alexis Road overpass, just west of Toledo Speedway, is closed indefinitely.  It is scheduled to be replaced this summer, but the weather has caused problems with the deck and it is closed.  If you use Telegraph Road going through Monroe, it is undergoing construction and will be closed by Meijer and Walmart in June.

Toledo will have an open practice Sunday, April 28.  The first weekly show is Friday, May 3.

2013 PROJECTS:  At Toledo, we have finished grading and seeding behind the new stands, while work continues on re-grading the infield.  We have applied a patch of sealer to the short track at Toledo to reduce the amount of pebbles coming up off the track surface—the first test was promising.  We will get a race in on this and then move from there.  Flat Rock will replace the catch fence and uprights in the turn 3-4 area, in front of the spectator hill, in addition to repairing and replacing doors, windows, etc. that were damaged during the break-ins.

March bulletin will be posted the 14th.  Don’t forget to make plans for March 16 for the Racer’s Reunion and MARFC meeting at Toledo!   If you have any questions….call us!
