Grogan's Towne 50 Opens 2012 for ARCA Trucks
(TOLEDO, Ohio - May 18, 2012) - Joining the ARCA Racing Series presented by Menards Saturday at Toledo Speedway will be the ARCA Truck Series, which will open its 14th season in the Grogan's Towne 50.
Since the series' inaugural season in 1999, Toledo Speedway is one of only two tracks to host at least one ARCA Truck Series race per year. (Flat Rock Speedway, host of an event May 26, is the other.)
The first of two practices will begin at 11:15 a.m. Saturday, with qualifying following at 2:15 and the 50-lap race at 5. Sixteen trucks are currently entered, including past Toledo winner Danny Jackson. Apart from Jackson, Truck Series race winners Ash Hawkins, Chad Poorman, and Chad Bailey Jr. are entered. Bailey won the 2010 series championship.
