Flat Rock, Toledo Division Sponsors Return For 2012 Season

(TOLEDO, Ohio – March 19, 2012) - Flat Rock and Toledo Speedways are proud to announce the return of the title sponsors of each of the track’s classes of cars for the 2012 season, which begins Saturday, April 28 at Flat Rock and Sunday afternoon, April 29 at Toledo.

For the sixth consecutive season, Moran Chevrolet will step to the front and serve as the sponsor of the ARCA Late Model class at Flat Rock Speedway.  Pat Moran has confirmed the sponsorship in addition to support of the Stan Yee Memorial 150 race, set for July 28.

The Moran Automotive Group, which consists of the Moran Chevrolet dealership on Gratiot Avenue in Clinton Township and the Moran Cadillac-GMC outlet in Ft. Gratiot, MI, has supported both Flat Rock and Toledo Speedways by sponsoring the Late Model class and posting special awards.

allegiant_logo_large_tagline_3c_cmyku.jpgAllegiant Travel returns as the presenting sponsor of the ARCA Glass City Gold Cup Late Model Series, which will consist of 6 events in 2012.  There are two races at Flat Rock, 3 at Toledo and new to the schedule is a date at the Spartan (Lansing, MI) Speedway.  Allegiant will award a pair of round-trip tickets to the top 3 in the final Gold Cup point standings, in addition to providing airline ticket giveaways to race fans at various events at both tracks this season.

 

partsgalore130pix.jpgParts Galore will enter into its 2nd season of involvement with both tracks as the Figure 8 division title sponsor.  The business opened a you-pull-it parts yard just north of the Flat Rock track last summer, giving them a location south of their 2 Detroit-area yards.  Parts Galore is operated by Bill Wild, who sponsored race cars and the Flat Rock track for many years in the 1970’s and 1980’s through his previous business.  Parts Galore has added their backing of the Saturday, May 12 50th Anniversary celebration of the Figure 8 class at Flat Rock, which will feature a 50 lap feature for the class.

 

dts_warren.jpgWarren, MI-based DTS Drive Train Specialists has once again pledged their support of Flat Rock’s highly-competitive ARCA Street Stock division.  DTS supports several tracks in the Michigan area and is now in their 3rd season of sponsorship of Flat Rock’s Street Stocks.  DTS will also continue their involvement with the Glass City 200 at Toledo. 

 

 

 

r_m_copy.jpgThe Toledo Street Stocks will have R & M Recycling return to back their division at the Glass City oval in 2012.  R & M boss Mike Rogers has been a part of both School Bus Figure 8 races and the Glass City 200 weekend prior to his involvement with the Toledo Street Stocks.

acme_dismantling_copy.jpgACME Dismantling of Toledo will support the ARCA Sportsman class, which competes on the big ½ mile paved oval.  This is the 2nd season of sponsorship for ACME, which provides assistance to the speedway in many facets throughout the year.

Track officials are still in negotiation for the 4 Cylinder class title sponsor as of press time.
