FLAT ROCK-TOLEDO SPEEDWAY BULLETIN—NOVEMBER 11, 2011

Please join us in saying “THANK YOU” to those that have served in our military as we pay respect to the Armed Forces today on Veterans Day.

This is the first of our monthly off-season bulletins.  It will be posted here on the webpages and emailed to our members who have provided email addresses.  If you would like to be added to that list, email your address to Sherry at smiller@arcaracing.com.  These bulletins will not be mailed.

Please direct any calls to the Toledo office during the winter months; the Flat Rock office is closed.  The Toledo phone number is 419-727-1100.

Our annual awards banquet is coming up November 18, and it is a sellout!  Doors open at 6:30, dinner at 7:30, with awards and music to follow.

TAX FORMS:  The W-9’s are posted under forms.  IF someone other than the driver is to receive the winnings, this form MUST be filled out.  We will also have them at the banquet.

MEMBERSHIPS:  For 2012, there will not be a weekly driver/owner membership available.  This is a cost savings to many of you.

MINORS RELEASES, ETC:  For 2012, BOTH parents and/or guardians will be required to sign the minor’s release waiver.  15 year olds will also now be permitted to compete in the Sportsman class.  ALL drivers younger than 16 will have a set of requirements to meet, which is outlined below:  Personal meeting with ARCA officials; background profile/resume, private on-track test session with observers on hand, restrictive/probationary status for designated period of time.  Please contact the track if you have a driver under the age of 16 that will be competing next season.

RULESThe 2012 changes are posted on the website and were mailed to the 2011 driver/owner membership.  FIGURE 8’S:  In regards to the road course oil pan for the crate engine---call the track to arrange for a tech inspector to be there to seal your engine when you get ready to install your pan.

4 CYLINDERS:  Will be required to run the raceceivers in 2012.  They may be purchased from the track after March 1.

TRANSPONDERS:  In the past year, we have had more problems with transponders coming off of cars and then getting destroyed.  In 2012, a fee will be charged when a unit comes off a car that has not been in an accident that would have caused it to fall off.  We have had to stop races to pick them up off the track, etc.  The new units are $400 each……simply, be sure your transponder is secured!

SCHEDULES:  The 2012 schedules are being worked on, and should be released during the holiday season.  We can tell you several dates at this time.
