Great Lakes Helicopter Returns to Sponsor Glass City 200

(TOLEDO, Ohio - March 24, 2011) - Toledo Speedway is proud to announce the return of Great Lakes Helicopters as the sponsor of its signature event, the Glass City 200 Super Late Model invitational. The Almont, MI based business has agreed to enter into its second season of support for the 23rd running of the event at the Glass City oval.
"We are very pleased that Great Lakes Helicopters will be a part of the Glass City 200 weekend again this season," said Ron Drager, promoter of the Toledo track. "Our thanks to John Lojko and his group for their great support of this prestigious event."
The 2011 edition of the race is set for Saturday, October 1. Last year's race was pushed back to Sunday after rains stopped the event with just 10 laps completed. Harold Fair Jr. scored his second Glass City 200 victory, edging Scott Hantz for the win. The race, known for its great competition, saw a long stretch of green flag
racing in the second 100 lap portion of the race. Brad Rogers, Steve Sauve and Mike Root rounded out the top 5 finishers, all completing the 200 lap distance.
Great Lakes Helicopters also serves as the sponsor of the #116 Late Model driven by Jack Varney Jr.
In other Glass City 200 news, DTS Drive Train Specialists will also return as an associate sponsor of the race. DTS also is the title sponsor of the ARCA-Flat Rock Speedway Street Stock division.
