Santa Claus, Gifts, and More at Toledo and Flat Rock July 16 and 17
(TOLEDO, Ohio - June 25, 2010) - It's the middle of summer: hot, humid days, and warm, muggy nights - and time to celebrate Christmas in July at Toledo and Flat Rock Speedways! Santa Claus himself, the jolly old elf, will be at both tracks Friday and Saturday, July 16 and 17, to hand out prizes and greet all race fans.
Santa will get Rudolph out of his slumber to zip down to Toledo Speedway Friday evening, July 16 for Lakeshore Utility Trailer Sales/ Velvet Ice Cream Night! The ARCA Sportsman, Figure 8's, Factory Stocks and 4 Cylinders will be in action on the track, while Santa will get ready to hand out prizes to both kids and the adults, too! Race time is 7:30 p.m.
After a good night's sleep (but not long winter's nap by any stretch), Santa will hook up the sleigh and fly to Flat Rock Speedway for the usual Saturday night racing! It's a big night of competition at "The Rock" as the ARCA DTS Drive Train Specialists Street Stocks go at it in their biggest race of the year in the Leppen Chiropractic 100. The B Main cars will run a 30 lap feature, with more action from the "Motor City Madmen", the ARCA Figure 8 division. Dr. Leppen will be on hand and will work right alongside Santa, surely giving him advice on how to work the crowd! Race time is 7 p.m. at Flat Rock.
Fans of all ages will enter their name for the drawings as they go through the track gates each night. The drawing will be held later in the evening. Race fans, race teams, area businesses, track sponsors and the like donate prizes for Santa to give out, making for a fun night of family entertainment, not to mention the wheel to wheel, fender to fender action on the race track!
ALL tickets go on sale race day at both tracks; there is no pre-sale for these two events. Toledo's ticket office and front gate will open at 5 p.m., while Flat Rock will open at 4 p.m.
