Youngsters Finley, Griffin Latest Moran Chevrolet/Stan Yee Memorial 150 Entries

(FLAT ROCK, Mich. - June 22, 2010) - Second-generation driver Chad Finley of DeWitt, Mich. has inked his entry for Saturday's Moran Chevrolet/Stan Yee Memorial 150 at Flat Rock Speedway. Seventeen-year old Derrick Griffin of South Bend, Ind. will make his first trip to "The Rock" for the all-green flag event.

The race is expected to draw over 30 entries, and is the third leg of five for the ARCA Allegiant Air Gold Cup Series contested between Flat Rock and its sister track, Toledo Speedway.

Finley has superspeedway experience through his rides with Brad Keselowski Motorsports on the ARCA Racing Series tour.  His father, Jeff, won numerous Late Model titles in the state of Michigan and was also a winner on the ARCA Series.  Griffin has come from virtually nowhere to be a top runner across the tri-state area.  In April, Derrick set a new track record at Toledo and several weeks ago won the Stan Perry Memorial race at Angola, Ind.

Monday's mail also brought entries from Toledo driver Brad Birr, at the wheel of Bob Ward's No. 6, third-generation driver Keith Nelson of Toledo, rookie Ken Mathews III of Ypsilanti, and a second car from Stan Yee's stable, with the driver to be announced. The entry list stands at 26 cars as of noon Tuesday, with that number expected to grow as Saturday's event nears.

An open practice session is set for Wednesday, June 23 at Flat Rock from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m.  The pit area will open at 4.  In the event of rain, the practice will be moved to Thursday, June 24 at the same times.

Current Gold Cup point leader Scott Hantz is also entered, along with Friday's Toledo Gold Cup winner Harold Fair Jr.  Hantz won the season opener of the Series and finished second to Fair Friday at Toledo.  Defending track champ Eric Lee will also be on hand.

Flat Rock's Moran Chevrolet/Stan Yee Memorial 150 has become one of the top Late Model races in the area.  Justin Schroeder of Canton won the 2008 race, while Mike LuBerda Jr. made his first trip to Flat Rock historic by nipping track champ Eric Lee by a car length to win the 2009 edition of the event.

Bob Fox of Diamond Racing Products has posted $333 for fast time, in honor of the famous No. 33 cars which Stan Yee Sr.'s car have carried since the 1960s.  Stan passed away in 2008.

The winner will take home $2533, and the race pays $533 to start, also in honor of Yee's famous No. 33 cars.  Each dollar payout for every position in the feature will end in 33.  Lap money is $5 per lap and will go to the leader of the laps sold for the 150 lap race at "The Rock." To purchase lap money, call the track at 734-782-2480.

Entry blanks may be downloaded from the track's websites at http://www.flatrockspeedway.com/ or http://www.toledospeedway.com/.  The current entry list may also be downloaded from the track web pages.

The ARCA DTS Drive Train Specialists Street Stocks and ARCA Figure 8s will also be in action for the June 26 event at Flat Rock.  The pits open at 1, practice begins at 3, time trials are at 5, and racing is at 7 p.m.  All tickets will go on sale at 3 p.m. Saturday at the track.
