Toledo Speedway, ARCA, A Life-Long Investment for Brian Keselowski

Toledo Speedway, ARCA, A Life-Long Investment for Brian Keselowski
TOLEDO, Ohio (October 21, 2009)--These days, Brian Keselowski stays busy as a car owner, driver and crew chief in the NASCAR Nationwide Series but like many in the NASCAR Garage Area, his career traveled through ARCA first. Keselowski returned to Toledo Speedway-the track where he won an ARCA-sanctioned Late Model Championship in 2003- on Wednesday to prepare his NASCAR Nationwide Series cars for the last few races of the season.
"What's new with ARCA?" was the first thing the now-28-year-old asked when he spotted ARCA staff at the half-mile short track.

Keselowski, a former winner in the ARCA RE/MAX Series, has not competed in ARCA's national tour in approximately two years but that doesn't mean that he and his family are not long-term players in ARCA. Onlookers at the test included father Bob, uncle Ron and Australian Andrew Hagan, who has competed in Late Models at Toledo Speedway this season under the Brad Keselowski Racing banner.

"I'm just looking to get as much experience as possible," said Hagan. "Maybe they will even let me climb into one of these cars at the end of the day. I have to just ride around and be careful not to crash it but it would be good just to get the laps in."

Hagan has competed in outlaw body Super Late Models throughout the 2009 race season under the guidance of the Keselowski family. The BKR driver development team also includes ARCA RE/MAX Series competition with drivers Chad Finley and Mikey Kile.

Although Brian has spent the latter half of 2009 out of the driver's seat and focusing on crew chief duties in the NASCAR Nationwide Series, his racing resume is impressive. In addition to three wins in the ARCA RE/MAX Series, he raced late models throughout Michigan and Ohio at places like Flat Rock Speedway, Auto City Speedway, Owosso Speedway and Toledo Speedway, where he won the ARCA-sanctioned Late Model Championship in 2003. Both Brian and Brad Keselowski have had life-long involvements in ARCA, growing up racing with their father Bob, the 1989 ARCA RE/MAX Series Champion.
