Practice Times Fast for Glass City 200 Presented by AP Motorsports

TOLEDO, OH  (10-2-09)--  The rain disappeared in time for the 2-hour practice session Friday afternoon at Toledo Speedway in preparation for the 21st running of the Glass City 200 Late Model invitational presented by AP Motorsports.  36 Late Models were on hand, with Scott Hantz ripping off a lap 15:061.

2006 race winner Jack Landis (15:171), Ron Allen (15:231), Johnny Belott (15:327) and 3-time winner Steve Sauve (15:355) were next in line as practice concluded under overcast skies.

Friday Practice Times

Tomorrow’s schedule has the pit area opening at 9:30 a.m., practice is at Noon (the front gates also open at Noon), time trials are at 3 p.m. and the entire race card begins at 5 p.m.  In addition to the 200 lap Glass City race, the ARCA Sportsman, Speedway Tire and Auto Factory Stocks and the Michigan Legends Cars.

A cash purse of over $60,000 has been posted for the Saturday night show.  The forecast is for cloudy skies and a high near 60 degrees.  Track management will do their best to complete the show Saturday night.  If necessary, a rain date of Sunday afternoon at 1 p.m. has been established.
