FLAT ROCK, MI: (7-10-09): One of NASCAR's young stars will greet race fans Saturday evening, August 15 at Flat Rock Speedway. David Ragan, the driver of the Roush Racing #6 on the NASCAR Sprint Cup Series tour, will greet race fans as part of the Leppen Chiropractic/United Way of Monroe County Autograph Night program. The track will also host a Racer's Reunion for former racers.

Ragan, a native of Unadilla, GA, worked his way up the racing ladder, starting in Legends Cars, moving up to the ARCA RE/MAX Series where he finished 3rd in the final 2005 points. David caught the eye of car owner Jack Roush and began his ascent to the Cup Series, where he now competes. Ragan also is running in the NASCAR Nationwide Series and the NASCAR Camping World Truck Series in 2009.

"David Ragan has not forgotten his roots," noted Scott Schultz, General Manager of the speedway.  "He was our guest speaker at our 2008 pre-season press conference and came back to race in the RE/MAX Series race at Toledo the past 2 years.  He is a great ambassador for our sport and enjoys returning to the short tracks where he got his start in racing.  The fans will truly enjoy meeting this great young man."

Ragan will make his way to Flat Rock after completing his duties Saturday afternoon at Michigan International Speedway.  He will greet fans and sign autographs upon his arrival to "The Rock".  The exact time of his appearance will depend upon the MIS schedule. 

The ARCA Moran Chevrolet/Miller Lite Late Models, Figure 8's and Street Stocks will provide the on-track action and host their own Autograph session on the track beginning at 6:15 p.m.  The track will also welcome back former racers for the annual Racer's Reunion.  Race time is 7 p.m.

With yesterday's announcement of the appearance of Kyle Busch racing at Toledo Speedway Friday, August 14, race fans have the chance to see two of NASCAR's top drivers in the same weekend.
