Condolences go out to the friends and relatives of a pair of Flat Rock and Toledo Speedway ARCA racing families.

Shirley Hobbs, mother of ARCA Official Penny Herrmann, mother-in-law of former ARCA Figure-8 driver Pat Herrmann and grandmother of current ARCA Figure-8 driver Troy Herrmann, passed away Tuesday March 9 after an illness. Funeral services are at Michigan Memorial Funeral Home, 30895 W. Huron River Drive, Flat Rock (734) 783-2646. Visitation is Thursday March 12 from 1-9 p.m. and the funeral service is Friday March 13 at 10 a.m.

DEBBIE BURKHART

Debbie Burkhart, mother of Flat Rock Speedway ARCA Street Stock drivers Chris, Donald and Jason Burkhart, passed away Wednesday March 10 at her home after a battle with cancer. Funeral services are at Michigan Memorial Funeral Home, 30895 Huron River Drive, Flat Rock (734) 783-2646. Visitation is scheduled for Saturday March 14 from 6-9 p.m., Sunday March 15 from 12 noon to 6 p.m. with funeral services Monday March 16 at 11 a.m.
