Toledo's Burge Wrecking "Night of Destruction", featuring the popular School Bus Figure 8 race, is set for Friday evening, September 5.  The fun-filled, family-oriented night has more entertaining events in store, such as the Figure 8 Boat Race, Factory Stock Figure 8 Race, the Train Figure 8 race, back-up race, Race Car Bowling, Plywood race and the Rollover contest, all in the same night!  The grand finale is the School Bus Figure 8 main event contest!  Race time is 7:30 p.m. Friday night.  The rain date is Sunday, September 7 at 1:30 p.m.  Reserved seating is $16 per person.

It's back to Flat Rock Speedway Saturday, September 13 for the Pepsi-Cola School Bus Figure 8 show, with the Flat Rock Street Stocks added in to complete the great night of fun!  Flat Rock's Figure 8 track gives the buses the opportunity to wind up and slam into each other, with the highlight of the night being the anticipation of getting a bus or two over on its side!  More surprises are in store, courtesy of Suburban Oil and the father/son duo of Ray and Danny Gaddis.  The duo had fireworks and confetti shooting off the top of their buses at the June event at "The Rock"!  Race time is 7 p.m. Saturday night.  All reserved seating is $16 per person.

Two of the most prestigious short-track events in the Midwest will take place again in 2008 at Toledo Speedway; the Saturday, September 20 Miller Lite Glass City 200 Late Model invitational and the ARCA Championship weekend, set for Saturday/Sunday, October 11/12.

The Glass City 200 is filled with tradition and the 2008 edition is the 20th anniversary of the event.  The top Late Model drivers in the Midwest will make the trip to Toledo to compete in the big event.  The track's Sportsman class and a Factory Stock Figure 8 race are also part of the September 20 event.  Race time is at 5 p.m. Saturday, with Sunday at 1 p.m. serving at the rain date.  Tickets are $25 each for reserved seating and $27 the day of the event.

The season closes at the Glass City oval with the 2008 ARCA National Championship Weekend.  The ARCA RE/MAX Series will crown its new champion after the running of the ARCA 200 presented by Belle Tire, with the ARCA Lincoln Welders Truck Series settling their championship for the season Saturday afternoon.

ARCA RE/MAX Series practice and qualifying, plus the ARCA 100 presented by Champion Credit Union for the Truck Series will make up the Saturday race card, with the 100 lap feature at 4:30 p.m.

Sunday, October 12 features an on-track autograph session with the ARCA RE/MAX drivers and teams at noon, with the green flag flying at 2 p.m. for the season finale.  A 2-day ticket for the October 11/12 weekend is just $25 per reserved seat ticket.

Flat Rock's office may be reached at 734-782-2480, while Toledo's phone number is 419-727-1100.  Cash, VISA and Mastercard are accepted for ticket orders.
