Toledo Speedway

TOLEDO, OH, FLAT ROCK, MI: (6-24-08): Don't look now, but it's about 6 months until Christmas! Ah, but Toledo and Flat Rock Speedways are preparing to celebrate Christmas early with their annual Christmas in July Prize give-away nights, complete with a visit from the jolly old man himself, Santa Claus!

Toledo's big night is set for Friday, July 11, sponsored by Velvet Ice Cream.  Fans will register for the prize drawings upon entering the speedway.  One of the prizes to be given away to a lucky race fan will be 2 round-trip tickets from Toledo Express Airport to Orlando, Florida, courtesy of Allegiant Air!  A host of other prizes, donated by track sponsors and businesses in the surrounding area will also be handed out July 11 by Santa Claus!

Velvet Ice Cream, in its initial season of sponsorship at Toledo, will feature ice cream specials at the track's ice cream parlor during the evening of racing.  The ARCA Sportsman, Figure 8's, Factory Stocks and 4 Cylinders will provide the action, with a plywood race also on the race card.  The Toledo UAW Cap Council will also have a large group of guests at the July 11 event.

Santa will load up his sleigh with more gifts and prizes to be given away, and fly up to Flat Rock Speedway's Christmas in July promotion Saturday evening, July 19, sponsored by Sterling Printing and Graphics.  The ARCA Late Models, Figure 8's and Street Stocks will hit the track, with a Racer's Reunion also planned.

Toledo's gates will open at 5, with racing to begin at 7:30 p.m.  Flat Rock's Saturday night race times are 4 p.m. for the front gates and racing starts at 7 p.m.
