Jack, Allen Takes BCSN 50 Lap Toledo Wins

Flat Rock, MI (6-27-2008)--  Brent Jack and Ron Allen captured their respective 50 lap main event wins in the BCSN 100 Friday night at Toledo Speedway.  Eric Huston and Brad Turner were also victorious on an overcast evening at the ½ mile paved oval.  Veronica Pinciotti, representing BCSN, presented trophies in the New Glass Bowl Lanes Winners Circle.

Paul Pelletier took control at the green flag of the 50 lap ARCA Allegiant Air Late Model main.  A lap 1 incident caught up fast qualifier Harold Fair Jr. (15:187) when the field checked up, giving Fair no place to go.  Harold pitted for quick repairs, but came out and the hood buckled up, ending his night.  Pelletier sailed out front until Brent Jack caught him on lap 21.  The Butler, Indiana driver cruised to the win over Pelletier and third place man Justin Schroeder, who posted his best finish at Toledo.  Steve Sauve was fourth and Dennis Strickland fifth, followed by Jake Francis, Joe Hawes, Jeff Bailey, Harold Fair Sr. and Robb Brent.  With the unpredictable weather that the area has encountered over the past few weeks and the threat of more Friday, the Late Model heats were scrubbed and the main event took the green at the 7:30 race start time.

Lincoln Park, MI driver Ron Allen nailed down the win in the 50 lap ARCA National City Bank Sportsman main event.  Art Rozane took the point on the green and held the lead for 11 laps until Allen steamed by for the number 1 spot, coming from his 9th starting position on lap 12.  A late-race restart bunched the field but Allen pulled away for the win over point leader Jim Froling, Rozane, Scott Bross, Greg Stilwell, Chad Guinn, Rick Sheppard, Jeff King, Tom O’Leary IV and Jarod MacZink.  Allen’s fast time was 17:533 for the 18 car field.  Bross and Stilwell captured the heat race wins.

Defending champ Eric Huston led all 20 laps enroute to the win in the 20 lap ARCA A-1 Auto Parts Factory Stock feature race of the night.  Just 1 yellow flag slowed the action as Eric held on to top a great run by AJ Padgett for the win.  Landon Schuster was third, Rick Cousino Jr. fourth and fifth was Mike Hassen, followed by Dave Arnold Jr., Gary Cronenwett, Cory McCaughey, Rick Cousino Sr. and Jesse Carillo, the top ten.  Mike Mills posted the win in the 10 lap B Main over Don Cox, Chris Pauwels and Dennis Futrel.  Cronenwett took his first-ever checkered flag in the fast heat.  Mills and Kent Jones took the other heat events.  Brian Ringger took the last-chance race event.  Fast time was set by Arnold Jr. at 11:950 for the 25 car field.

Ida, MI driver Brad Turner took the lead from Mark Davis on lap 11 to score the victory in the 20 lap ARCA David’s Jewelry 4 Cylinder feature race.  Davis, in a new car, was strong out front until Turner caught the leader and used the high groove to take command.  Matt Brazeau grabbed second at the stripe, Michael Marlow was third, Davis fourth and Jeff Nichols fifth, with David Price, Alan Jones and Jimmy Little completing the finishers.  Davis captured the heat race win, while Turner set quick time at 13:244.
