Dexter Bean will drive #37 GLOCK Chevrolet for Spraker Racing Enterprises in 2008
SMYRNA GA (11-8-07)-- GLOCK, Inc. has announced that they have renewed their 2008 Team GLOCK Racing contract with veteran NASCAR driver and team owner Jeff Spraker of Spraker Racing Enterprises. Dexter Bean of Westby, Wisconsin will join the team as the #37 GLOCK Chevrolet driver in the ARCA RE/MAX 2008 Series.
The 20-year-old finishedthird in the ARCA RE/MAX Series Championship point standings in 2007 with his family owned BlackJack Racing team.Bean earnedthree top-5 finishes including 5th in the Allen Crowe 100 at the Illinois State Fairgrounds, 2nd at the Kentuckyiana Ford Dealers ARCA 200 by Federated Auto Parts at Salem Speedway and 2nd at the Pocono 200 at Pocono Raceway in June.

MOORESVILLE NC (11-7-07) -After two seasons with Team GLOCK Racing, Michelle Theriault has decided the time is right to make a change. The 21-year-old Bristol, Conn. native announced today that she has left the team and is actively pursuing opportunities in NASCAR and ARCA for the 2008 season.
"It was a tough decision," explained Theriault. "GLOCK provided me with the opportunity to showcase my abilities and for that I'm extremely grateful. But there comes a time when a change is necessary for continued growth.

TOLEDO OH (11-5-07) - Jeremy Clements was a half straightaway from victory lane at Pocono Raceway when the tank ran dry in his family-owned Chevy Monte Carlo. Bitter disappointment followed for the Spartanburg, South Carolina driver while Michael McDowell celebrated in victory lane.
The following week at Nashville Superspeedway, Clements made up for Pocono with his career-first ARCA RE/MAX Series victory, and with it, the beautiful Nashville electric guitar that serves as the trophy.

ROCKINGHAM NC (11-2-07) - The doors are again swinging at Rockingham Speedway (formerly North Carolina Speedway) in Rockingham, North Carolina, and the ARCA RE/MAX Series is positioned to lead the charge through the gates.
Speedway President Andy Hillenburg (left) has announced the ARCA RE/MAX Series will compete at the historic, high-banked, one-mile oval on Sunday, May 4th, 2008. The event has been named the "Carolina 500" and will be the inaugural event at Rockingham since Hillenburg took ownership of the property on November 1st, 2007.
"Racing has been gone from Rockingham way too long," said Hillenburg, the 1995 ARCA RE/MAX Series driving champion and one of the few drivers to race in the Daytona 500 and the Indianapolis 500.

FORT DODGE IA (11-1-07) - After nine-time ARCA RE/MAX Series driving champion Frank Kimmel announced that he would be forming his own team for 2008, which effectively ended his longtime partnership with car owner Larry Clement's 46 car, Clement's phone is ringing off the hook.
While Clement is working diligently to secure sponsor-partners for the 46 car for 2008, interest from drivers and crew chiefs has been overwhelming.
"I've been amazed by the number of talented drivers from the ARCA RE/MAX Series as well as other series interested in driving the car," said Clement.

INDIANATOWN FL (11-1-07)--ARCA RE/MAX Series driver Patrick Sheltra is dusting off the Stetson, breaking out his boots and squeezing into his wranglers as he'll take to the dance floor in his hometown of Indiantown, Florida in Saturday night's Hoe-Down at the Indiantown International Airport. Sheltra however won't be alone though as fellow Floridian ARCA driver Bryan Silas and the only current full time female ARCA competitor, Gabi DiCarlo will join Sheltra for the local event.

CORNELIUS NC (1-11-07) - ARCA RE/MAX Series Rookie of the Year Michael McDowell will make his NASCAR Busch Series debut this weekend at Texas Motor Speedway. A former Star Mazda Series champion, McDowell will pilot the No. 00 NAPA Auto Parts Toyota from the Michael Waltrip Racing stable for the final three races of the Busch Series schedule.

HIGH POINT N.C. (11-1-07)--Bill Davis Racing (BDR) announced today that Michael Annett will join the team in 2008 to drive a BDR entry in the ARCA RE/MAX Series. Annett will compete in 10 ARCA races during the 2008 campaign and will also participate in a very intensive testing program, which competition director Tommy Baldwin will oversee.
The 21-year-old Des Moines, Iowa native has already made his name known in the racing world. For the last several years, Annett has run in the ASA Late Model Series and has an impressive 60 percent top-10 completion rate. In 2007, Annett decided to take a stab at the next level of competition and set his sights on the ARCA RE/MAX Series. Annett showed the rest of the field he was a natural, compiling one win, one pole, two top-five and four top-10 finishes in only four starts.

KANSAS CITY KS (10-31-07) - Kansas Speedway announced today that the ARCARE/MAX Series will return again in 2008, while the IndyPro Series will return to the speedway for the first time since 2004.

Along with Daytona Int'l Speedway, Talladega Superspeedway is one of two races on the ARCA RE/MAX Series schedule in which series officials mandate the use of carburetor restrictor plates for engines. This season, Michael Annett ÇÚs 0.042-second margin of victory in a Toyota over Frank Kimmel, Dominick Casola, Richard Johns and Billy Venturini became the closest finish of the season. It also marked the first win for a Toyota in ARCA RE/MAX Series competition.
