Toledo Speedway

This is our first winter bulletin of the season. We will post one for each month through March. The winter office for both tracks is at Toledo: 419-727-1100.

W-9 forms: Winnings go to the driver. **IF that is different, you must fill out the form. Most of you have filled these out for tax purposes. The form can be downloaded from the web pages..it is located under forms. Please send them in if you have not done so.

I-75 Construction: I-75 Southbound from the Rouge River Bridge to Northline Road will be closed for the next 2 years! Northbound traffic will be open. Make alternate plans for your best route to Flat Rock and Toledo!

Schedules: We will post the new schedules for both tracks on the web pages by the end of this week. A few new events are set for both tracks-check it out. There may be a few more minor changes; we will keep you up to date.

**The 2 tracks will switch nights for 2 weekends for 2017: Toledo will run Saturday, July 1; Flat Rock will run Sunday, July 2. August 4 and 5 will also see the tracks switch nights. Flat Rock Friday, Toledo Saturday. Check the schedule for the divisions in action on those dates.

The Factory Stock class will once again have 3 different types of races at Toledo in 2017; Oval, Figure 8 and Road Course race. All will be point races. **The Factory Stock and Enduro rules are the same for both classes again in 2017.

Championship rain dates: The decision has been made to have ONE rain date for each “weekly” division championship night. If that also rains out, the point races are over. Flat Rock’s Late Model and Figure 8 championships are August 19; rain date is Aug. 26; The Street Stock Championship is Aug. 26; rain date is September 9. . More details will follow. Toledo’s Late Model Sportsman and Factory Stock champ nights are August 25; rain date is Sept. 1. All the information is included on the schedule.

As previously announced, the ARCA Late Model Sportsman class will again include the “Silver Cup” 3-race Series for the class; 50 lap races with additional awards included. The Silver cup dates are: Saturday, June 24-FR; Sat. July 1-Toledo; and Friday, Aug. 11 at Toledo. More details will follow.

The five dates for the 250 lap Enduro Series events are: Saturday, May 20-FR; Sunday, July 2-FR; Friday, July 14-Toledo; Friday, August 4-Flat Rock and Saturday, September 9-Flat Rock

The 2017 membership forms are now up on the web pages and can be found under forms. There is no increase in membership fees.

The Rusty Wallace Racing Experience, where you can ride in or drive a stock car, will have 2 dates at Toledo for the 2017 season.

Car numbers: Any changes of car numbers—be sure to call us at the office, or, if you are switching classes. Please remember the Enduro races have an entry fee and a separate car number list…we will do our best to work with everyone.

Track Work: At Toledo, the plan is in the works to remove the wooden light poles in the infield and eliminate the overhead wires. We also have some work to do on the roof of the tech barn and continue to refine the drainage in the infield area. Restroom work is also planned.

At Flat Rock, the extra stretch of good weather allowed the asphalt repair of the race car driveway leading into the pit area and numerous patching in the pits. We were also able to finish the asphalt work under the stands and repave the walkway in front of the grandstands. Additional asphalt millings have also been put down. Restroom work is also on the list, as is rewiring of the track lighting system.

2017 banquet date is Friday, November 3 at Crystal Gardens in Southgate, MI
