Toledo, OH—June 19, 2016: Toledo Speedway will host leg number 1 of 3 for the Midwest swing of The King of the Wing Sprint Car Shootout presented by Lakeshore Utility Trailer Sales Friday evening, June 24. The Top Speed Modified Tour will be the support class for the event at the ½ mile paved oval.

Toledo Speedway will be the first event of 3 races in the Midwest scheduled for the Winged Sprint Cars under this format. The 3 stops scheduled in the Midwest, beginning at Toledo June 24, include Winchester, IN Speedway Saturday, June 25 and Sunday, June 26 at Baer Field Motorsports Park in Ft. Wayne, IN.

Toledo track management will also host an open-wheel Racer’s Reunion and a vintage race car display as part of the program for the event. A tribute to the late Perry Younce is also part of the schedule of activities Friday evening.

The winged Sprint Cars are the fastest cars on the planet, as demonstrated by the unbelievable 1 lap track record of 12:220, set by Aaron Pierce last June.
