Toledo, Ohio—May 21, 2016: Jim Froling notched his 2^nd consecutive win in the ARCA Aramark Late Model Sportsman class Saturday afternoon at Toledo Speedway, while Shawn Szep won the ARCA Truck Series feature on Destination Toledo Pole Day. The events were part of Saturday’s preliminaries for the Menards 200 presented by Federated Car Care for the ARCA Racing Series presented by Menards.

The all-green flag 35 lap ARCA Aramark Late Model Sportsman main event saw Levi Mansfield take the lead at the start. Mansfield, who has competed in the ARCA Truck Series in the past, was in his second start in this class. Fast qualifier Jim Froling (17:085) and Ron Allen both got by Levi just past the half-way point of the race. Allen snuck by Jim in lapped traffic, but Froling nosed ahead once again as they cleared the lapped cars and motored on to his second win of the season. Allen was second, Mansfield was third, Howard Kelley Jr. fourth and Tom O’Leary IV fifth. Kent McCloskey, Greg Stilwell, Mike Demars, Kenny McKay Jr., Andy Harding, Craig Osenbaugh and Kevin Stahl Jr. were next in line at the finish. Chad Stilwell, Gerald Wheaton and Adam Plonski did not start the event.

Toledo Speedway will be dark for the Memorial Day holiday weekend, but will return to action with the beginning of Friday night racing June 3. The month will include racing each Friday night, beginning with the Monroe Superstore “Night of Destruction” June 3, featuring the School Bus Figure 8’s, Boat Figure 8’, Train Figure 8 race, the ARCA Victory Lane Oil Change Figure 8’s and an ARCA Factory Stock Figure 8 race. Race Car Bowling and a Flag Pole race are also planned.

Friday, June 10 is the date for the annual “Fastest Short Track Show in the World”, sponsored by All American Coach and Hemelgarn Racing/Super Fitness. The MSA Super Modifieds and the Auto Value/Bumper to Bumper Super Sprints will invade Toledo for this one-of-a-kind show

For the first time in 3 years on Friday evening, June 17, LKQ Pick Your Part presents the return of the Midwest Monster Trucks. The night will be co-sponsored by Great Clips. The lineup of Monster Trucks include Raminator, Rammunition, Samson, Dirt Crew, Quad Chaos, Ballistic and Reckless Driving.

Ballistic will be on display Thursday, June 16 from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. at the LKQ Pick Your Part location at 6193 Hagman Road, just ¼ mile north of Toledo Speedway! Everyone is welcome to visit LKQ and check out the Monster Truck!

And Friday, June 24, Lakeshore Utility Trailer Sales will sponsor the “King of the Wing” Sprint Car Showdown, featuring the top Sprint Car drivers from across the country. The Top Speed Modified Tour will also be in action.
