USAC SILVER CROWN, NON-WING SPRINTS HIT TOLEDO SATURDAY—6 P.M. START!

Toledo, Ohio—April 25, 2016: Saturday, April 30, Toledo Speedway, together with Hemelgarn Racing and Super Fitness, present the Rollie Beale Classic for the USAC Silver Crown Champ Car Series. The support division is a Non-Wing Sprint Car show, the first race for these cars at Toledo in over 3 years.

A $5 discount for advance tickets is also being offered for the April 30 show. To order tickets, reserved or general admission, fans may download the ticket order form from the track’s webpage at www.toledospeedway.com or call the track at 419-727-1100. Tickets may also be obtained at the track office on weekdays. Most major credits cards are accepted. The advance sale ends at 5 p.m. Friday evening, April 29.

The Silver Crown cars will battle in a 100 lap main event on the big ½ mile paved oval. Defending race winner Kody Swanson of Kingsburg, CA leads the field of entries. Local favorite Austin Nemire is also entered for Saturday’s Silver Crown event, while Sylvania, OH resident Jimmy McCune is scheduled to compete in the Non-Wing Sprint portion. The race program has a 6 p.m. start time.

The Non-Wing Sprint car race has been included as part of the April 30 event at Toledo. Spartan, MI Speedway officials and management will administrate the event. Practice, qualifying, heat races and a 25 lap feature are scheduled for the night for the Non-Wing Sprinters. A $100 bonus for fast time has been posted by Bill Lackey.

The pit area opens at 1, practice begins at 3, time trials are at 4:30 and racing begins at 6 p.m. Saturday, April 30.

The Hemelgarn Racing/Super Fitness Rollie Beale Classic will pay tribute to the late Rollie Beale, a Toledo native. Rollie was the 1973 USAC Sprint Car champion and a former USAC Series director. Members of Rollie’s family will be in attendance Saturday night.
