Toledo Speedway

Benny Parsons sits in his Late Model prior to the Race Against Cancer at Toledo Speedway in 1977.  Parsons, who passed away in 2007, won the ARCA National Championship in 1968 and went on to capture the then-NASCAR Winston Cup title in 1972.  Benny grew up in Detroit, MI, and ran some of his first races of his career in a Figure 8 car at Flat Rock!  After he hung up his helmet, Benny became a great TV racing analyst for several networks.  His brother, Phil, also competed in NASCAR and is now a TV analyst for Fox.
