TOLEDO’S FASTEST SHORT TRACK SHOW TRIES AGAIN SEPT. 11

TOLEDO’S FASTEST SHORT TRACK SHOW TRIES AGAIN SEPT. 11

Toledo, Ohio—August 19, 2015:  Toledo Speedway will try again as the re-scheduled All American Coach/Hemelgarn Racing/Super Fitness “Fastest Short Track Show in the World” starring the MSA Winged Super Modifieds and the winged Auto Value/Bumper to Bumper Super Sprints (AVBBSS) takes place Friday, September 11.  The original date of June 12 fell victim to the weather.  A rain date of Saturday, September 12 has also been established if needed.

The absolute track record fell on June 26 when Aaron Pierce stunned the crowd at the King of the Wing Sprint Car race at Toledo with an incredible lap of 12:220.  If the weather conditions are favorable, could that mark go even lower???  Can a new mark be set for the Super Modifieds?  The record stands at 12:893, set by Chris Perley of Maine in 2009.

The Toledo race will serve as the final 2015 point race for the AVBBSS Sprinters.  A Vintage Race Car display and pace laps for the cars of yesterday will also be a part of the festivities for the evening.

The speedway is offering a $5 discount pre-race ticket sale for the September 11 contest, if purchased before 5 p.m. Thursday, September 10.  The track will offer both reserved seating (with backrests) and general admission tickets for the advance sale.  Major credit cards are accepted for phone orders and on race day.  To obtain advance tickets, please call the track office at 419-727-1100 or the ticket order form may be downloaded from the track’s webpage.

The pit area will open at 2, practice begins at 4 and the front gates will also open at 4.  The much-anticipated time trials hit the track at 6 and racing begins at 7:30 p.m.  Log onto www.toledospeedway.com for further information and updates.  Like us on Facebook at www.facebook.com/toledoflatrock or follow us on Twitter @toledospeedway.
