BIG WEEKEND OF RACING AT TOLEDO, FLAT ROCK JULY 10-11

July 6, 2015:  One of the top racing weekends of the season is on tap for this Friday and Saturday, July 10-11 at Toledo and Flat Rock Speedways.  Toledo roars back into action Friday night with the Kevin Butzin Recycling 100 presented by Belle Tire for the ARCA Royal Truck and Trailer Late Models, while Flat Rock Speedway prepares for its annual Royal Truck and Trailer Triple 50’s presented by the Monroe News and Fireworks show the following night, Saturday, July 11.  The evening concludes at “The Rock” with the famous Flat Rock Speedway Fireworks extravaganza, courtesy of the Monroe Superstore.

The Gold Cup Late Model Series returns to Toledo for the first time since the April season opener.  Jeff Ganus of Constantine, MI is the current point leader through 3 of the 6 scheduled events.  Ganus won the Toledo event, finished second at Flat Rock in the Joy Fair Memorial 100 and won the Sandusky Speedway race in June.  The 100 lap event is race number 4 of the 2015 Gold Cup Series.

Race fans can visit the 4 Toledo-area and Monroe Belle Tire locations to obtain a deep-discount admission voucher for the Friday, July 10 event at the Glass City oval.

The ARCA Aramark Late Model Sportsman cars will also hit the ½ mile Friday, while the ARCA R & M Recycling X Cars will compete on the short track.  The grandstand gate and ticket office open at 4:30, practice begins at 4:30, time trials are at 6:30 and racing begins at 7:30 p.m.

Saturday, July 11 is a big night of family fun and entertainment at Flat Rock Speedway.  The Monroe News presents the Royal Truck and Trailer Triple 50’s and Fireworks show!  The annual event will see 50 lap features for each class-the Moran Chevrolet Late Models, Praxair Figure 8’s and DTS Drive Train Specialists Street Stocks.  Feature events only are scheduled for this night.

Lap money sponsors for each of the Triple 50’s is sold out.  A & M Transmission of Flat Rock (50 lap Figure 8), American Sanitation (50 lap Late Model), Total Flow Products (25 laps) and Sterling Printing and Graphics (25 laps) (Street Stocks) have donated $5 to the leader of each lap in the respective feature races.

Following the race card, the famous Flat Rock Speedway Fireworks display will take place, courtesy of the Monroe Superstore.  Every seat has great viewing for both the racing action and the fireworks show.  The pits will open at 2:30, practice begins at 4, time trials are set for 5:30 and racing begins at 7 p.m.  ALL tickets will go on sale race day at 4 p.m. when the grandstand gates and ticket office opens.
