FLAT ROCK-TOLEDO SPEEDWAY BULLETIN (3-24-15)

This is our final winter bulletin of the season.  The winter office for both tracks is at Toledo:  419-727-1100.  The Flat Rock office will open April 14.

Late Model Gold Cup:  Send in your entries for the April 11 show; rig parking will be tight; if you don’t enter, we don’t know you are going to be there!  Entry is posted under forms, and it also was mailed.  Toledo LM tires for this race will be available at the practice day April 10.  The Hoosier Truck will handle LM tires for this race only at the track.  See tire prices below for pricing information.

Schedules:  Toledo will open Saturday, April 11 with the 7-Up Twin 100’s—ARCA/CRA Late Models and (new for 2015) the ARCA Royal Truck and Trailer Gold Cup Late Models, while the USAC Silver Crown 100 is Friday, May 1.

The Toledo Friday night weekly racing opener is May 8, with practice set for Tuesday night, May 5 from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m.  Pits will open at 4 p.m.  The rain date is Wednesday, May 6 at same times.

Flat Rock opens with a practice Saturday, April 18 from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. The pit area opens at 9 a.m.  The rain date is Wednesday, April 22 from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m. The first race is Saturday, April 25. 

W-9 formThis form needs to be filled out prior to your first race.  Again, it is located under forms on the web pages, and we will have them at the tracks.

Used Tires:  We will be taking used 880’s, 3035, 3045, F-40 and F-50 tires ONLY at Flat Rock.  They must be able to hold air.  Please don’t bring your junk….this is no cost to you, so please help us by bringing only the proper tires.  We will begin taking tires at practice day April 18.

Pocket schedules:  We now have the pocket schedules—if you need quantities, call us and we will get them to you.

Slight schedule change:  we have moved the Toledo Road Rage race from July 10 to June 19.  It is correct on the pocket schedules.

Figure 8 Train race entry:  The entry is posted on the web pages under forms and be available at the tracks.  First train race is Saturday, May 2 at Flat Rock.

Fuel prices:  We won’t know prices until our deliveries, which will be before the practice days…

Tire Prices:  Same as last year:  $111 for Hoosier 880’s, $136 for Late Model tires.  Tires will be available after April 14.

Pit pass prices:  No changes:  will be the same as last year; $20 ARCA member, $30 non-member for “weekly” shows; Late Model Gold Cup races for LM crews are $30 (same as last year).

Contingency awards:  FiveStar Race Car Bodies and AR Bodies both return as award sponsors for Late Model Sportsman and Street Stock classes.  Contingency sheets will be available at the practice days.

The 2015 membership forms are now up on the web pages and can be found under forms.  There is no increase in membership fees.

Division Sponsors:  All track division sponsors have now renewed for 2015!   Moran Chevrolet (Flat Rock Late Models), Aramark Uniform Services (Late Model Sportsman), DTS Drive Train Specialists (Street Stocks), R & M Recycling (X Car class sponsor) and Praxair (Figure 8’s) are set!  And Royal Truck and Trailer will become the sponsor for the Late Model Gold Cup Series, and the Monroe News will be the Enduro Series sponsor.  Please be sure to say thank you to these folks and support their businesses! 

Pad rentals:  Prices go up after April 1.  The pad forms are located under forms on the web pages of each track.

Stahl Performance Fab will be giving away a chassis to the “Hard Charger” for the Street Stocks at Flat Rock.  A point system will be in place, awarding 1 point for each position improved in the A Main.  Complete details will be available at the practice day. 

Car numbers:  Any changes of car numbers—be sure to call us at the office.    We will start a new car number list for the Factory Stocks.  Please remember the Enduro races have an entry fee and a separate car number list…we will do our best to work with everyone.

BCSN TV:  The Buckeye Cable Sports Network will once again televise numerous races at both tracks in 2015.  The dates at this time are:  Toledo:  April 11, May 1, May 16, June 12, June 26, July 10 and August 14.  Flat Rock:  April 25, May 9, June 6, July 25.    It is possible more dates may be added. Recently-retired driver Rich Frantz will join the BCSN team as a color commentator for these events.

Enduro/Factory Stocks:  For the first time ever, a 250 lap Enduro race will be contested at Toledo—Friday, June 19.  There will be 4 Enduros at Flat Rock and the 1 at Toledo.  A total of four (4) separate Factory Stock races will be held at Toledo during the season, with a point system in place for the 4 events.  And, these cars may also run with the X Cars (these 2 classes are not scheduled on the same night), giving this group an option to run plenty of nights if desired. Late Models:  The minimum age for Late Model drivers has been moved to 15 years of age.  All other divisions are minimum age of 14.  **Any candidate will need to provide a racing resume, meet with track officials and do a private test session.  For details, call 419-727-1100.

Ticket fundraiser program:  Both tracks have in place a pre-sale ticket fundraiser program for non-profit groups, charities, school groups, etc.  It’s very simple!  If you have a group that might be interested, give us a call at 419-727-1100.
