TOLEDO SPEEDWAY THROWBACK THURSDAY

TOLEDO SPEEDWAY THROWBACK THURSDAY

A popular trend among social networking sites is Throwback Thursday, reminding us of some popular memory from the past. In recognition of Throwback Thursday, ToledoSpeedway.com will feature a “Blast From The Past” each week.

Moose Myers takes another checkered flag at the Toledo Speedway in 1977. Moose would capture back to back 100 lap ARCA Toledo wins in the beautifully prepared Jim Stovall owned Chevelle and eventually go on to capturing the 1977 season title.

All Jim Stovall's cars were painted maroon, #0 and named the "Louise Special" for his wife. Moose had a great career, then Jim and Louise's son Scott Stovall continued the winning tradition in the ARCA Racing Series as Rookie of the Year and Champion. Great family.
