(Toledo, OH—September 18, 2014): 3-time Flat Rock champ Paul Pelletier and veterans Chris Benson and Jimmy Thiel will make their way to Toledo Speedway for Saturday’s Great Lakes Helicopter Glass City 200 at Toledo Speedway!  Those 3 latest entries now put the entry list at 35 outlaw Late Models for the prestigious event.

Fans have 1 more day to save $5 on your race ticket!  Call the track at 419-727-1100 up until 5 p.m. Friday evening, September 19 to purchase the discount tickets.  Both reserved and general admission tickets are available for $20 each.  Tickets will be $25 on race day.

The 200 lap classic for the outlaw-bodied Late Models is the longest race of the year and the track’s signature event.  The race will award $6500 to the winner, with $1100 posted to start the race.  With bonus money and special awards, a driver could walk away with over $9000 in cash and prizes!

The 40 lap Cassens Transport Sportsman invitational will utilize a unique qualifying procedure for this weekend, featuring a format similar to the style now used in NASCAR.  The Sportsman cars will stage on pit road and be given 30 minutes to record lap times.  A driver may go out for as many laps at speed as he desires during the session.

Friday, September 19 the pit gates will open at 2 p.m.  An optional practice session for both classes will take place from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m.  The grandstands will be open for spectators at no charge for the practice.  Rig parking, pit pass sales, limited tech and tire sales will take place on Friday.  All pit pass purchasers on Friday will receive a complimentary dinner after practice at the Speedway Bar and Grille, courtesy of Francis Engineering.  The ARCA Racing Series event from Kentucky Speedway and the 2013 Glass City 200 will be shown at the Speedway Bar and Grille Friday night.

Race day, Saturday, September 20 has the pit gates opening at 9:30 a.m., practice begins at Noon, the run for the PASSTIME $500 pole award goes at 3 and racing begins at a special time of 5 p.m.  A rain date of Sunday, September 21 has been established if needed.
