Glass City 200 to have special pre-race guests

(TOLEDO, Ohio – Sept. 17, 2014) – Hockey season is just around the corner. However, before the puck drops on the 2014-15 Toledo Walleye season, a few of the team’s players will take in some high-caliber outlaw late model racing this weekend.

Toledo Walleye players Al Jenks, Troy Schwab, Cody Lampl and Jeff Lerg will be at Toledo Speedway Saturday to participate in pre-race ceremonies for the 26th running of the Great Lakes Helicopter Glass City 200.

The Walleye open its season Oct. 18 at the Huntington Center in downtown Toledo.

Toledo Speedway will be open from 5 to 7 p.m. Friday for an optional practice session. The grandstands will be open for spectators at no charge for the practice.

Saturday, September 20 is race day. The pit gates open at 9:30 a.m., practice begins at noon, qualifying is at 3 p.m. and racing begins at 5.
